The L.É. ROISÍN arrived in Greenore Port on Friday evening to a large gathering of well-wishers as part of the Greenore Maritime Festival. It would be a weekend packed full of fantastic events with a reception aboard the LE Roisin on Saturday evening at the request of Irish foreign affairs office and Irish Naval services being the highlight of my weekend and an experience I’ll never forget. CARLINGFORD PRIORY The Dominican Priory at Carlingford Co. Louth built in 1305 is believed to have be founded by Richard de Burgo 2nd Earl of Ulster, with the Friary itself being dedicated to St. Malachy.
