VEHICLE VALHALLA SWEDEN. On Friday Sean Donegan Newry Man Lost photography set of on an epic adventure to find an Abandoned car grave yard in the heart of a rural Swedish forest miles from civilization. The Scrapyard was set up by 2 Swedish brothers who collected the cars left behind by US Service Men after WWII amassing over 1000 classics including Buick’s, Mustangs, Beetles, Dodge and even Morris Minors. Greenore

GREENORE (An Grianfort) Tonight I paid a visit to one of my favorite places, Greenore. I have many a fond childhood memory of summer picnics by the shore basking in the outstanding natural beauty and breathtaking landscapes. The village Its self was built to provide homes for the dock and railway workers of the Dundalk Newry and Greenore Railway. The Ulster Aviation Society

THE ULSTER AVIATION SOCIETY The Ulster Aviation Society was founded in 1968 and sits on the former WWII Long Kesh airfield site with it’s close neighbor The former Long Kesh/Maze Prison. The Aviation society house many rare air craft including a Phantom Jet but let’s not forget it’s also home to Wessex and Puma Helicopters that seen service operating from RAF Aldergrove to Bessbrook Barracks. Visits can be made by appointment and I highly recommended it for a family day out.

The Church of St James Cooley

THE CHURCH OF ST JAMES, COOLEY Today on my travels around Co Louth I stopped of at the very beautiful and Historic Church of St James, Grange. The Church was built in 1762 but it is believed that the site was previously occupied by a Cistercian monastery. The Cistercian Monks settled in Newry around 1144. It is very possible that people have been gathering there to worship for over 800 years.
