The atmosphere was electric tonight as Newry City AFC U19s took on the US team LA Sand & Surf U19s who landed in Newry as part of their Irish tour.
It was a game of equals and neither team let their concentration slip even for a minute resulting in an extremely exciting match which kept the crowd entertained and on the edge of their seats.
Paddy O’ Connell busted the onion bag with a thunderious shot in the dying stages to break the deadlock and also take the spoils for the home side. Final result
